From July 2nd, the Spanish restaurant El Invernadero, of the Spanish chef Rodrigo de la Calle, will be invited to the Odyssey restaurant of the Metropole hotel. On the menu, ephemeral menus adapted to each diet and vegetables as a « muses » for two months.
As every year the Odyssey opens its doors to the outside clientele, while in winter, the hotel reserves its tables only to the residents of the hotel. Thus, during the dinners of the months of July and August, from Tuesday to Saturday, the restaurant “El Invernadero” of Rodrigo de la Calle, invites itself to this exceptional place. Christophe Cussac, executive chef of the hotel, has indeed invited the chef madrilène and all his brigade to recreate on the spot the universe of his kitchen “green”. Rodrigo de la Calle will transcend the magic of the place to present its unique cuisine based on respect for nature in which plants are the main actors. “Often vegetables are underestimated. With my cooking I sublimate each vegetable, I give them a new life. They perfectly accompany the meat and sometimes they can replace them by becoming the main element of the plate“, says the chef.
A menu for everyone
“The menu is very simple and adapts to any world, be it vegetarian, vegan or meat lover. My goal is humble: magnify vegetables! “Says the chef with a smile.
