The Société des Bains de Mer inaugurated its new conference centre, located at the One Monte-Carlo, at the beginning of the month. It is an occasion for the group to reinforce its focus on business tourism in the Principality.
Located at the heart of the new One Monte-Carlo district, this new conference centre substantially increases the potential to host, among others, salons, conventions, product launches or seminaries. With a total area of 1 445 m², the structure will offer nine meeting rooms. Among those, there are the 178-m² Salle Jean Cocteau, a 500-m² multiple-use auditorium and the Salle des Arts, spread out over 301 m² and able to seat 300 people. Moreover, it is an exact replica of the eponymous room in the old Sporting, which aims to “preserve an architectural memory”, as indicated by Jean-Luc Biamonti, deputy chairman of the SBM (La Gazette de Monaco n°454, February 2012).
Thanks to these facilities, the group doubles its spaces dedicated to business tourism around the Place du Casino, which today consists of the Hôtel de Paris and the Hermitage.
A more refined and ecological offer
To complete the new structures, the new Boulingrins gardens, located in front of the One Monte-Carlo and plunging over the Place du Casino can easily be privatized, thus creating an exceptional setting to stage an event, all the while controlling the ecological impact of such occasions. To guarantee the group’s environmental engagement, all the new buildings carry the BREAM label, a reference standard regarding sustainable construction, equivalent to the Haute Qualité Environnementale (HQE) label in France.
