The sea in the spotlight this weekend

Tomorrow, the entire marina of the Yacht Club of Monaco will celebrate the Fête de la mer. The opportunity for residents and tourists to enjoy the various activities set up for the day.

Giant slide, introduction to sailing, sea kayaking or kite surfing, paddle workshop, water bubbles… The activities offered by the Y.C.M as well as all Monegasque institutions related to the sea are free on registration. The day will begin with the traditional nautical parade, where all the captains and their ships can join, which will connect the Oceanographic museum to the Yacht Club of Monaco. The latter will pay tribute to the three rescuers of the SNSM, who deceased at les Sables d’Olonne on June 7th. Upon the return of the boats, the registrants will be able to participate in various activities such as diving baptisms, the slide starting on the terrace of the fifth floor and falling into the marina, paddles, kayaks, water bubbles or the Giga Aqua course. New activities are also planned this year. Participants can try their hand at flite-board, pedal-board and small electric boats. Do-it-yourselfers will also be able to come and build scale models of solar vessels. The following weekend will start the Monaco Solar & Energy Boat Challenge.
