After temporarily closing its doors for renovation, the Albert II nautical centre will resume its activities on February 4th.
The announcement was expected. The night of November 24th was the stage of severe bad weather, a cast iron support of the Albert II nautical centre collapsed resulting in the fall of a rainwater pipe and the discharge of rainwater in the pool. Following this rainfall event, the swimming pool and the water installations located within the Stade Louis-II were closed, awaiting refurbishment.
The regular users had shared their surprise not having any available information on the topic and kept on wondering about the condition of works, and so was La Gazette de Monaco, concerned about the date of the reopening. Yesterday in a statement, the Communication department announced that the nautical centre had completed its renovation and began a thorough cleaning. The reopening of the swimming pool doors is scheduled for February 4th.
