The traditional ceremony was held yesterday at the Hermitage hotel in the presence of the State Minister Serge Telle.
Yesterday at the Hermitage Hotel, in front of a large audience, among which the State Minister Serge Telle, the chief of the prince cabinet Georges Lisimachio and numerous ambassadors, Gilles Tonelli presented his greetings to the diplomatic and consular corps accredited in the Principality. The opportunity for the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation to remind the audience about some data: the Principality has a network of 138 effective consulates in 80 countries in the world and is represented abroad by 16 accredited ambassadors to 28 States including, for the first time, the Republic of Malta since 2018. Gilles Tonelli welcomed this accreditation, just as he thanked Moustapha El-Solh, Honorary Consul of Lebanon: “Elected in 2009, then re-elected in 2014 at the head of the Association of Honorary Consuls of Monaco, as a member of the board of directors and then as chairman, Moustapha El-Sohl has worked with great dedication and efficiency.”
