MEB Economic Meetings in Cyprus

1 December 2019 - 12h08

On the occasion of the 13th Conference of Presidents of Parliament of the Small States of Europe, the Monaco Economic Board (MEB) met several economic entities of the island but also representatives of other countries present on this occasion. In 2021, it is Monaco’s turn to host the parliamentary meeting.

Economic cooperation was at the heart of the debate, a first for this parliamentary meeting. The MEB delegation had the opportunity to meet the heads of Invest Cyprus and the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce with whom a memorandum of understanding was signed. The MEB also had the opportunity to meet institutional representatives from the various countries present as well as the representatives of the Montenegrin CCI, which will host the next edition of the Conference of Presidents of Parliaments of the Small States of Europe in 2020. An economic forum will be backed by it and the MEB plans an economic mission with entrepreneurs from the Principality. Finally, Monaco was designated to host the Conference in 2021. Present at this meeting were the President of the National Council, Stéphane Valeri, Guillaume Rose, Director General of the MEB, Justin Highman, Director of Monaco Invest, and Martin.
