The Monegasque Association for Latin America (AMLA) is honoring Colombia for the second edition of the annual charity gala that will take place at Monte-Carlo Beach on June 22nd.
A trip to Colombia. This is the theme of this evening which promises to be rich in animations. From 8:30pm, guests will be able to immerse themselves, for one night, in the Colombian culture and traditions. A la carte, a typical menu, a dance show and a musical evening. Then, place at the key moment of the evening, the raffle, allowing the association to raise funds that will be donated to Mission Childhood Colombia, an association that fights against violence against children in the country, through the establishment of toy libraries or entertainment centers. “There are different prizes to win, like a basketball jersey signed by Eric Buckner and another owned by Radamel Falcao. We have no goal for the amount collected, as it depends on the number of entries for the gala and the sale of tickets for the raffle. However many people have already made spontaneous donations to the association and it’s great, “says Sheramin Beauseigneur, vice president of AMLA.
An educational tool for young people
Thanks to the structures developed by Mission Enfant Colombia, children learn through play, the rules of life in society and common values such as respect and honesty. The goal is to create a generation of responsible adults aware of the issues of poverty and violence in Colombia. In 20 years, the association has created a real network of eight toy libraries throughout the country with over 12,200 young beneficiaries of services offered.
Note, tickets for the gala are still available from AMLA.
