Papyrus Association, private scholarships to seize

19 January 2019 - 15h08

The association which grants private scholarships has launched a call for applications to donate its global budget of nearly 60,000 euros. This should be divided between thirteen scholarships… or twelve to be more accurate, since a first cheque has already been given during the presentation evening!

A new brilliant initiative from Papyrus. From this association born in 2016 from Robert Boisbouvier, a 29-year-old Monegasque entrepreneur, one knew Papyrus Education, an online platform connecting by video conference high school students/students/people in career change – in search for information on their professional orientation – and professionals. Last January 15th at the Lycée Technique et Hôtelier, Papyrus Association was presenting another project: a call for applications has been launched to allocate 60,000 euros between thirteen scholarships. The conditions to apply are the following: to live in the Alpes-Maritimes area, to be Monegasque or to reside in the Principality.

Various sectors

Ten of these will support students from the Alpes-Maritimes and Monaco who do not have the financial means to continue their studies in various sectors including marketing, law and political science, medicine or the art, and also cover the financing of studies abroad and support for people with disabilities. Their amounts vary from 3,500 to 4,500 euros. The other three scholarships are dedicated to financing entrepreneurial projects that will impact the Alpes-Maritimes region on an ecological or educational level. “The DNA of the Papyrus Association remains the course choice and accompanying of students in the completion of their curriculum, but accompanying ideas and enabling them to bloom is, for us, a logical consequence” explained Robert Boisbouvier, the board chairman. The first scholarship with an amount of 10 500 euros (for a company’s ecological project) was given to the Bonifazi-Amador family for the creation of an organic olive grove on the Domaine de la Bordina, located on the heights of Monaco. Who will be the next 12 lucky beneficiaries?
