SNCF and the Oceanographic Museum together for eco-mobility

8 July 2019 - 9h00

After the creation of the  Centre monégasque de soins des espèces marines  and the new museum experience  « L’odyssée des tortues marines », the Oceanographic Museum continues to strengthen its environmental commitment and renews its partnership around the “TER + Oceanographic Museum” package with TER SNCF Région PACA, encouraging families to promote eco-mobility and rail transportation to the museum.

This package is for families of two adults and two children under sixteen. With two separate rates, 69 € per package from July to August against 55 € per package the rest of the year, these tickets are available for purchase at the counters, at the stations automatons, on the online store TER website PACA, as well as on the mobile application of the SNCF. These tickets guarantee a fixed fare for a round trip from a city in the Alpes-Maritimes, to the Monaco station and the entrance to the Oceanographic Museum for the whole family.

New experiences to discover with family

An unforgettable tête-à-tête with sea turtles awaits visitors in the brand new space focused on three poles. The route begins in the permanent open-air space of 550m2, where the life cycle of these marine animals is explained. The culmination of the experiment: a 160m3 rehabilitation basin overlooking the Mediterranean which welcomes turtles before their return to the sea, after they have been treated at the Centre monégasque de soins des espèces marines. Then, the visit continues to the first floor of the museum with a temporary path-exhibition.
