On the occasion of the European Vaccination Week, organized by the World Health Organization, from 24 to 30 April 2019, the government encourages people of all ages to be vaccinated in a statement.
“Vaccination helps to prevent a high number of communicable diseases each year, to reduce their effects and also to prevent contamination of the rest of the population by group immunity, which is essential for the protection of the most vulnerable people“. he said in this statement which states that “scourges like smallpox and poliomyelitis have disappeared from Western countries, vaccinations to maintain a low rate, or no, severe communicable diseases, once common and likely to resurge if the vaccination coverage necessary for their control is not maintained. ”
