Step by Step – A look at an art dealer’s collection, is an exclusive exhibition, presented to the public for the first time at the New National Museum of Monaco from April 26 to September 29. 39 old and contemporary works belonging to Fabrizio Moretti are exhibited. A history of art through the years.
Like a tale, the exhibition explores the collector’s point of view on Western artistic culture. From the Gothic period until the beginning of the Renaissance, through Mannerism and Baroque, the Moretti collection leads to the experiments of the last ten years.
Holder of a master’s degree in literature from the University of Florence and son of the famous Tuscan antique dealer Alfredo Moretti, Fabrizio Moretti opened the Moretti Gallery at the age of twenty-two and specialized in the painting of the Old Masters. Since the beginning of his career, Fabrizio Moretti has been collecting works by the protagonists of Western art, without particular distinction in terms of time, genre or means of expression. During his career, he has collaborated with some of the most prestigious museums in the world, major auction houses and leading collectors.
