For the 16th step of its summer tour, the Sports caravan, an initiative launched by the Olympic and Sports Departmental Committee of the Alpes-Maritimes (CDOS), will stop in Cap d’Ail! From 10 am to 12:30 pm and then from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm, children between the ages of 4 and 14 will be able to participate, on a simple presentation at the amphitheatre de la Mer, in the various sports activities organized on site. Athletics, badminton, baseball, golf, judo, karate, tennis, trampoline or volleyball… There will be something for everyone! And the presence of several athletes from the CDOS Espoirs Team of the Alpes-Maritimes such as boxer Rakyb Mohamed, judoka Maxime Duhamel and mountain biker Dorian Bourg is sure to draw the crowds for this energetic day!
Passing on Olympic values
A day that will not only be sporty, besides, since the Sports caravan has the ambition to transmit the Olympic values of respect, friendship and excellence. To do this, various workshops will be set up on the “Red Card to Violence” stand as well as games, competitions and animations on the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Moreover, this year, there will be scientific animation workshops on the theme “Sport and the Environment” in order to raise awareness among young people about the environmental cause. Finally, the firefighters of the Alpes-Maritimes will be present at the site to offer an introduction to first aid actions (alert 112, massage, use of the defibrillator …) as well as the Juvenile Delinquency Prevention Brigade.
