2018: Dynamic employment
The government released the 2018 employment figures announced by the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs and the Department of Employment. There were 51,601 employees at 31 December 2018 compared to 49,693 at 31 December 2017 in the private sector, an increase of 3.8% in the number of employees (+1,907 employees). Added to this figure are employees of the public sector.
Monaco at the 4th session of the ONU Environment Assembly
This year, the theme of "Innovative Solutions to Address Environmental Challenges and Ensure Sustainable Consumption and Production" was at the heart of the discussions. The Assembly adopted many thematic resolutions, including a resolution on the sustainable management of coral reefs proposed by Monaco in collaboration with Indonesia, as co-Chairs of the International Coral Reef Initiative (ICRI)
The 2nd Bilateral Cooperation Commission between the two countries was held on March 15th. At the end of the discussions, the two parties signed two protocols of understanding in the field of civil protection and support for vulnerable children.
