The city of Cap d’Ail will open the doors of its emblematic monuments on September 21st and 22nd, on the occasion of the 36th Heritage Days. The opportunity for locals and visitors to discover (or rediscover) the places that make up the variety of the heritage of the commune.
This year, the European Heritage Days will take place on September 21st and 22nd in Cap d’Ail! The city’s event service invites locals and tourists to come and take a free cultural bath throughout the weekend. Starting with a guided tour “On the steps of the Greatest names in Cinema” in the city, starting at 10am on Saturday 21st. The Jean Cocteau amphitheatre will also be exceptionally open to the public that day, starting at 2 pm. At 4:30 pm, the Château des Terrasses will be accessible. Not to mention the new exhibition of the contemporary art collective “No-made”, recently installed at the villa Le Roc Fleuri, on architectural achievements in the singular context of the 100 years of the Bauhaus movement. The latter will be on free access again the next day, Sunday 22nd, from 1 pm to 7 pm; just like the Villa Les Camélias museum, a Belle Époque site anchored in greenery to discover from 11 am to 5:30 pm. A pneumatic piano demonstration will be offered at 11 am and 3 pm on that site. Please note that all visits will be made by registering with the tourist information office, except those of the Villa Les Camélias museum, where registration will be made directly with the establishment.
