The Monegasque Group of companies in the fight against cancer (GEMLUC) presented a cheque of 140,000 euros to the Monaco Scientific Centre for pancreatic cancer research last night in the presence of the councillors-ministers of Social Affairs and Health and Interior.
“Since 2016, a five-year tripartite agreement, initiated by the GEMLUC with the government and the CSM, has funded a series of cancer research projects in Monaco by a team of high-level researchers led by Professor Pouysségur (CNRS) and Professor Rampal”, explains François Jean Brych, president of the GEMLUC. A fundamental research, through which a publication on pancreatic cancer by the CSM in Cancer Research has been published, allowing the Principality to shine internationally in the fight against this disease.
The GEMLUC, which has been in existence for more than 40 years, has already contributed more than two million euros to the Lacassagne Centre and the CHPG. And because the fight doesn’t end there, the organization plans two events to benefit research. The International Contemporary Art Competition from September 17th to 27th and the Gala de l’Espoir on October 23rd at the Automobile Club. Registrations are available here.
